Special Education and Disability Leadership
I received my bachelor's degree in psychology and master's degree in special education from Virginia Commonwealth University. I taught for several years, working with students with autism spectrum disorder in both preschool and elementary school. While teaching, I also completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders program where I built relationships with families and the community.
A scholar in the National Center for Leadership in Intensive Interventions, my research focuses on the implementation and development of intensive interventions for social/emotional and behavioral outcomes of elementary school students. I am particularly interested in how teachers are using these interventions in the classroom while considering aspects of adaptation and fidelity.
