I am the project coordinator for the BEST in CLASS - Web and BEST in CLASS - Elementary projects. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2016 with bachelor's degrees in psychology and gender, sexuality, and women’s Studies. I joined the McLeod-Sutherland lab and BEST in CLASS In August 2016. My research interests broadly involve the development of evidence-based prevention and intervention programs encouraging positive development of minority children and adolescents, and understanding to what extent ethnic culture, socioeconomic status and other intersectional factors impact implementation. I am particularly interested in the sociocultural messages ethnic minority children internalize, and how those messages impact mental health, education and sexual health choices. My secondary interests are comparative research on themes surrounding sexuality and sexual health.
