Jessica earned a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's degree in school administration and supervision at Indiana State University. In Indiana, Jessica taught pre-K through 12th grade students with special needs in a variety of settings. After moving to Virginia, Jessica collaboratively taught special education and general education, and then moved into an administrative role in a public middle school. While an administrator, Jessica was a liaison for Project SEALS with VCU.
Jessica is currently pursuing her doctorate in the Department of Special Education and Disability Policy in the VCU School of Education. Her research focuses on the successful application of a tiered intervention system in the conjoined area of academics and social/emotional behaviors.
