I earned a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's degree in school administration and supervision at Indiana State University. In Indiana, I taught pre-K through 12th grade students with special needs in a variety of settings. After moving to Virginia, I collaboratively taught special education and general education, and then moved into an administrative role in a public middle school. While an administrator, I served as a liaison for Project SEALS with VCU. My research focuses on the successful application of a tiered intervention system in the conjoined area of academics and social/emotional behaviors.
