My primary research interests focus on students’ motivation and learning outcomes and the use of advanced quantitative methodologies. I have used international large-scale databases on secondary students’ science achievement. I am currently conducting analyses of student motivation using structural equation modeling based on the TIMSS dataset.
As I have a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), I am also interested in language acquisition and development of ELL students and its relation to school success. I am currently conducting a systematic literature review to explore the influence of social interaction and relationships on young children’s development of language and early literacy.
