I am a double major Honors College student here at VCU pursuing a bachelor degrees in gender, sexuality and women’s studies and sociology. I have worked on several research projects on topics including critical prison studies, and gender-related healthcare access for LGBTQ+ incarcerated folks, to name a couple.
I run the VCU Jail Mail program which connects community members with incarcerated LGBTQ+ pen pals through the prison abolitionist organization Black and Pink. With one year left as an undergraduate, I am mapping out the next steps towards graduate school and eventually becoming a professor.
I am working as the project coordinator on the LGBTQ+ Youth Support Study through a research fellowship with the Honors College.
