Taylor Sharpe is a first-year doctoral student in Developmental Psychology from Atlanta, GA. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a master's degree in Experimental Psychology from Augusta University. Her research interest centers around how Black Americans build resilience against and despite racial discrimination and systemic injustice, focusing on adaptive strategies like cultural mistrust, racial socialization, and identity development. She is also interested in how these factors shape emotional development and emotional flexibility.
