Rosalie Corona, PhD

Dany received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Public Health, with a minor in Health Promotion, from American University in December of 2023.

Prior to joining the Clinical Psychology PhD program in the Fall of 2024, Dany worked in research labs at American University and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. In addition to research, Dany has clinical experience working as a Mental Health Worker/Activities Therapist at a psychiatric hospital in Rhode Island.

These experiences have informed her current research interests aimed at addressing mental health disparities and promoting health equity among Latino youth and their families. By focusing on ethnic minorities, Dany hopes to: culturally adapt evidence-based practices, promote positive mental health outcomes, and break down barriers that limit the accessibility of effective mental health treatment for underserved populations
