Dr. Pittman received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus in child and adolescent psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at Virginia Treatment Center for Children. Her research and clinical interests focus on reducing exposure to adverse experiences and their consequences among youth, with a particular interest in intervention and prevention of trauma and suicide. The overarching aim of her research is to develop and refine clinical practices that reduce the impact of adverse experiences and promote positive development and mental health.
