Colleen is a current 4th year developmental psychology doctoral student, and holds masters degrees in psychology and special education. She has worked for the Oregon Social Learning Center as a research assistant since 2018 and has been a graduate research assistant for the Healthy Communities for Youth Lab under Dr. Sullivan since 2020.

Colleen studies positive youth development and youth violence prevention with a focus on gun violence prevention. As a developmental scientist, her research seeks to inform prevention and intervention efforts through a strength-based, social-ecological approach. She is a proponent for quality community-academic partnerships.
