Maiah Jackson (she/they) is a Ph.D. Student in the Developmental Psychology Program, and Graduate Research Assistant in the EMPOWER Youth Lab. Her research interests include exploring how intersectional aspects (e.g., ethnicity, culture, gender, race) affect the identity and emotional development of children and adolescents of color. Her goal is to further bridge the gap between research and real-world application among BIPOC communities. Outside of the lab, Maiah enjoys discovering new food spots, expanding her tastes in literature, and spending time with her dog, Sprout.
